Kitchen Trends Summer 2021

kitchen trends

With each year and season that passes we see new homestyle trends which are pushed by interior designers and style magazines. This summer is no different and today we are going to take a look at some of the hottest kitchen styles which you may wish to incorporate. The kitchen is the place where we spend most time and the most money, so staying on top of these trends is something which many like to do. With this in mind, let’s take a look at the hottest styles for this summer.

Hob Taps

When it comes to bringing in new taps into the kitchen most seasons have varying styles such as a kitchen mixer or brushed chrome taps, but this season we are talking about a different type of tap. Fitting a hot or cold tap above the hob is very much something that people are doing right now, making filling saucepans easier than ever before. If you have the plumbing in place, this is a seriously stylish option to look at.

Nuggets of Color

Very few kitchens go all out when it comes to colors in the space, with most relying on dark or light colors throughout. This season however we are being encouraged to add nuggets of color throughout the kitchen, to stand out from the plain background. A black kitchen sink in a whitewashed kitchen, colorful pots and pans hanging from the ceiling or even a pastel colored door leading to the laundry. Remember that when it comes to color, a little goes a long way.

Home Office Space

So many more of us are working from home these days, and office space has become more critical than ever before. Spending all day in the home office however is no fun, which is why many are looking to incorporate a space in the kitchen where a little bit of work can be completed. Enjoying a coffee in the kitchen whilst sending a few emails is made easier when you have a dedicated space to work from.

Say Goodbye To Handles

Trends have been leading us away from handles for some time now and we are seeing more kitchen units than ever before, which are designed without handles. Beyond the fact that this looks sleek and stylish, a lack of handles is in fact a far more hygienic way to go about opening doors and cupboards in the kitchen.

Stainless Steel

There has undoubtedly been a higher focus on hygiene in the home and the kitchen given the events of the last 18 months, and for this reason we are seeing a much bigger push on materials such as stainless steel. This is certainly something which we are seeing in kitchens this season and we will see it used with kitchen taps and the sink, as well as on splash backs and handles (if people still decide to use them).

These are just some of the hot kitchen trends that we are going to see this summer.
